During this one-day workshop, students will learn how to best photograph a person then go on a field trip to practice portrait photography. Learn more about what settings to select on your camera. Specifically, learning how to properly focus and control backgrounds.
Whether you photograph your kids, family or friends, you will learn some great tips about composition and lighting and using reflectors.
Most importantly, learn how to get people feeling comfortable so that you can create portraits that express the personality of your subjects.

During each workshop a field trip is scheduled, so that students can practice all of the techniques that will be taught in class. Being able to ask questions and receive immediate feedback, alongside the teacher, Kelly Mintz, ensures a comprehensive and thorough learning experience.
This one-day workshop is for the beginner to intermediate level adult photographer. SLR cameras are recommended.
