Photo l  - Kelly Mintz of SEE Shore Photography will offer 4 beginner photography classes, where a small group of students will have an opportunity to truly learn more about their specific camera and how to take better photographs.  This class is for adults with NO prior experience using their camera, in any other settings other than typically, Auto.
Photography manuals, YouTube tutorials, and books can often leave you more confused than confident. While cell phone cameras are convenient, they don’t always deliver the best quality—especially when photographing distant subjects, using flash, or capturing movement.
That’s where Kelly Mintz comes in. Kelly’s approach to teaching photography is fun, straightforward, and easy to understand. But here’s the real difference: field trips. You’ll head out to local spots (just 5 minutes away!) where you can practice hands-on with your camera, guided by Kelly every step of the way. It’s a unique experience that most photography classes don’t offer. Kelly believes that learning by doing is the best way to truly understand photography.
Kelly is skilled at teaching photographers of all levels, no matter what camera you use. She’ll help you understand your settings, along with Aperture and Shutter priority modes. The key to improving your photography is moving beyond automatic settings—and the more you do, the more control you gain over the outcome, leading to better photos.
In Kelly's classes, you'll learn how to focus on your subject, handle challenging outdoor lighting, and know when to use your flash. Plus, you'll get tips for capturing people, landscapes, and more. This is perfect for beginners looking to take their photography to the next level.
You’ll also have the chance to practice at home with weekly assignments, and then share your photos with the class. Kelly creates a supportive, non-judgmental environment where you’ll receive constructive, positive feedback to help you grow as a photographer.
Kelly Mintz is an accomplished photographer and educator with a Master's in Education.  She has a passion for sharing her knowledge and love of photography with others. With years of experience behind the lens, she specializes in capturing stunning images of people, landscapes, and events.
Kelly believes in creating a supportive and enjoyable learning environment, where students feel comfortable experimenting and developing their skills. Her teaching style emphasizes clarity and simplicity, making photography accessible to everyone, regardless of their starting point.
In addition to her technical expertise, Kelly is known for her engaging personality and enthusiasm for teaching. She often incorporates hands-on experiences and field trips into her classes, allowing students to learn by doing and build confidence in their photography abilities. Kelly’s classes are designed to inspire creativity and foster a deeper understanding of the art of photography.

Class size is limited to 6 students so individual attention can be given.
