Photo l - Kelly Mintz of SEE Shore Photography will offer 4 beginner photography classes, where a small group of students will have an opportunity to truly learn more about their specific camera and how to take better photographs. This class is for adults with NO prior experience using their camera, in any other settings other than typically, Auto.
Photography manuals, youtube videos and books can be confusing. Cell phone photography doesn't always produce the best quality photo, especially, far away subjects, flash, or moving subjects. However, Kelly Mintz strives to teach photography in a fun, clear and simple to understand manner. Field trips are where you will truly learn. We go to local (5 minutes away) where you will learn by doing alongside the instructor. This is something that most other photography classes don't offer, but she feels that learning by doing is THE best way to learn photography.
Kelly knows how to teach EVERY camera, ensuring that you start learning about your settings and Aperture and Shutter priority modes. The more you're able to come out of the automatic modes, the more you're able to control the outcome, resulting in better photographs.
You will also learn about how to, focus on your subject, deal with harsh outdoor lighting and when and when to use your flash. There will also be tips for improving your photographs of people, landscapes and more. This is extremely useful for any beginner photographer.
Students will have the opportunity to practice at home with weekly homework assignments and then present their photos to the class for non-judgmental, constructive and positive feedback.
