This 1-day nature and landscape photography workshop is open to the beginner or intermediate level photographer.  This workshop is for the person who wants to learn to take better photographs using either their cell phone or digital camera. This workshop will be held at Maudslay State Park in Newburyport.  Maudslay is a beautiful, 450 acre state park that also has some old ruins on the property.  Maudslay's web site says they have, "19th century gardens and plantings, rolling meadows, towering pines, and one of the largest naturally-occurring stands of mountain laurel in Massachusetts."

The workshop will start where instructor, Kelly Mintz will meet students at Maudslay State Park parking lot entrance. She will go over which camera settings are best to use when photographing up close subjects or a landscape. Kelly makes sure that she goes over each student's individual camera settings.

For the second part of the workshop, Kelly will accompany students on a walk around Maudslay to practice photographing. Kelly will point out how to breakdown the key elements to look for to create a stunning landscape and give fun and creative photo exercises to teach new ways of capturing the beauty of nature.

Photographing alongside Kelly, is a great opportunity to learn by doing, ask questions and get inspired by the  surrounding area.

Finally, Kelly will provide each student with constructive guidance and feedback about the photos they took.  Always keeping things positive and fun.

The workshop provides benefits to both the beginner and intermediate photographer.

Kelly Mintz has her Masters in Education, is a professional photographer and over 20 years experience teaching photography.  All photos were taken by Kelly Mintz.
