Supplies Needed
• Students may use a digital SLR or point and shoot camera.  They can have either a beginner or intermediate knowledge of their camera equipment.

• Digital camera users should make sure their camera’s batteries are fully charged or bring extra batteries

• Please make space on your child's memory card as well. 

•Please bring a snack/water and bug spray if you want to.

1-day NATURE
p h o t o g r a p h y workshop for kids

This 1-day nature photography workshop is open to 9-14 year olds from ANY town or state who wants to learn more about their camera and explore fun creative ways to photograph nature - flowers, bugs, water droplets, landscapes, textures and more.

Kelly Mintz will begin the workshop at the (1st parking lot) Parker River Reservation entrance in Newbury, MA with a discussion about each child's individual camera.

For the second part of the workshop, Kelly will give fun and creative photo exercises to get kids learning about their camera and capturing the landscape around us. Kelly accompanies the class while we walk around the Parker River Reservation to photograph. (See the reservation's great web site for more info, https://www.fws.gov/refuge/parker_river/) This is a great opportunity to photograph alongside Kelly, the instructor and to get inspired by the beautiful surroundings -flowers, bugs, animals, textures, water droplets, march, ocean, etc.

Finally, during the field trip Kelly will provide each student with immediate constructive guidance and feedback.

The workshop provides benefits to both beginner and intermediate photographers.
