1-day Workshop

We photograph our colorful world, but learning to SEE in black and white takes more thought. Learning to see tones instead of color is something every photographer has to do in order to become good at black and white photography.
During this 1-day workshop, you will learn, what subjects make good black and white photos. You will learn composition techniques, and factors such as, tone, contrast and lighting that are much more integral to black and white photography than to color.
After a lecture, Kelly will explain how to convert color images to black and white using Photoshop and Photoshop Elements. You will also be shown how to enhance your photos making them works of art.
The workshop will culminate with a field trip at a local place of choice so that students can practice photographing and SEEing in black and white. Kelly will guide you by suggesting interesting subject matter and will help you with your camera's settings to ensure the most dynamic photograph possible.
