Photo I is for
9-14 year old children to introduce them to digital photography. This is a fun four week long photography class, offered through the Newburyport Youth Services. Students will be taught about their digital cameras and how to take better photographs.
Students will learn about their individual settings on their cameras, different types of lighting and many fun and creative photo tips will be given when photographing, nature, architecture, people, animals, and macro photography!
The most fun part of this photography class is that students will have the opportunity to go out on field trips with the instructor, Kelly Mintz to practice photographing. Field trips are the best way for students to learn. These field trips are scheduled every class to interesting scenic places around Newburyport that the students can walk to. Class size is small and limited to 6 students, which allows for individual attention. Kelly is a professional photographer, has a Master’s in Education and over fifteen years experience teaching photography to children and adults. Kelly's style of teaching is that she explains things in a way that is simple to understand and inspiring.
